VTU, Belagavi

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) is a state University of Government of Karnataka established as per the VTU act 1994 and it is one of the largest Technological Universities in India with 25 years of Tradition of excellence in Engineering & Technical Education, Research and Innovations. It came into existence in the year 1998 to cater the needs of Indian industries for trained technical manpower with practical experience and sound theoretical knowledge. The university has 210 affiliated colleges, one constituent college and 25 Autonomous colleges with undergraduate courses in 35 disciplines, PG programs in 94 disciplines and Ph.D & M.Sc (Engg.) with research programs in 592 departments. More than four lakhs Students are pursuing their professional studies in the various institutes affiliated to the University.

AICTE, New Delhi

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was set up in November 1945 as a national-level apex advisory body to conduct a survey on the facilities available for technical education and to promote development in the country in a coordinated and integrated manner. And to ensure the same, as stipulated in the National Policy of Education (1986), AICTE was vested with Statutory authority for planning, formulation, and maintenance of norms & standards, Quality assurance through accreditation, Funding in priority areas, monitoring, and evaluation, Maintaining parity of certification & awards, The management of technical education in the country.

LIS-Academy, Bangalore

The acronym LIS Academy stands for “Library & Information Science Academy”. Like-minded library professionals established LIS Academy as a professional charitable Trust. The primary focus was to provide need-based service to the profession and to work for the advancement of Library and Information Science (LIS). The current focus of LIS Academy is to ‘Reach the Unreached’ LIS professionals with rural settings in order to minimize the digital divide. It also pays attention on the working library professionals of Public Libraries, the segment which almost remains as an area of neglect. LIS Academy pioneered in organising manpower development and leadership programs, conferences and conclaves, workshops and symposiums.
